【My Story.3】Challenge the world with no foreign language skills at all! Failure...


Entered "Rallye Monte Carlo Historique".

In 2008, I raced in the "Rallye Monte Carlo Historique",which is held in France, Monaco, and Italy. ......, in other words, every car enthusiast has heard of it at least once.



This world-class event has an extremely long history, having been held since 1911, and the experience of joining a team managed by a former F1 driver and watching the world's top drivers drive up close was one of the greatest triggers for me to think, "I want to challenge the world!


Also, and I can say that now, but in a deep part of my mind, I also had this thought.

"If I challenge the world, wouldn't that be a good excuse to quit racing?"

Of course I couldn't tell everyone. ......


Choose to start over as an amateur.

And then, I decided to leave my activities as a "professional racing driver" in Japan. I went to France by myself at my own expense and chose to start all over again as an amateur.


So far, it was cool, but when I finally took the plunge ......, I had spent all my previous savings on racing, so even though I was going to race, racing karts was all I could do. The cost of living in France is much higher than in Japan, so it was very difficult just to have a normal life.



More sadly, even though I did well in the races I entered, I was not fluent in French or even English, so I ended up missing out on all the opportunities that I had seized in the race. ......
